How an order works

Ordering a murti from Agathia is a conversation with the atelier, so the site takes a request rather than a payment.

  1. Choose your murti and select Add to cart, then Submit request. No payment is taken at this stage.
  2. From the moment your request reaches the atelier, the piece is reserved in your name.
  3. Within 48 hours we write to you with the lead time for your piece and the final amount, including the import duties and taxes of your country. From that email, the piece stays reserved for you for 3 more days.
  4. If everything suits you, you pay within those 3 days by the secure link in that email. The atelier then engraves, finishes and blesses your murti and ships it.
02

Payment

You pay through a secure payment link that we send with the final amount.

  • Russia and Belarus: cards issued by Russian banks, including Mir.
  • All other countries: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club cards through Razorpay, our international payment provider, or PayPal.

Prices on the site are in US dollars. We never ask for card details by email or WhatsApp.

03

Price, duties and taxes

The price on the site includes insured delivery to your door. It does not include import duties and taxes. We calculate them for your country, add them to the final amount before you pay, and clear customs for you, so the courier will not ask for money at the door. Details are in our Shipping & returns.

04

Lead time and delivery

Two different times make up the wait.

  • Preparation in the atelier. Some murtis are ready to ship, others need finishing. We give you the exact time for your piece in our reply to your request.
  • Transit. Once dispatched, delivery usually takes up to 14 days, depending on the region.

Personalisation

Each murti is registered to its custodian. The buckle of the presentation box is engraved with your name, the murti’s individual code, its number in the limited edition and a QR code that opens the murti’s own page. The base of the murti carries the same QR code, individual code and edition number. See Personalisation & provenance.

Questions

Can I order a murti as a gift?

Yes. Tell us the name of the person who will receive it, exactly as it should be engraved, before you pay. Once engraved, the name cannot be changed.

Is the murti consecrated?

Each murti is blessed in the atelier before it is packed. Prana pratishtha, the ritual consecration that invites the Deity into the murti, belongs to your home shrine and is best performed there, by you or by your priest.

Can I give a murti to someone outside the Hindu tradition?

Yes. Many people keep a murti as sacred art, and the care guide is written for anyone. If the person may later wish to worship with it, the murti is ready for that.

Can I bathe the murti during abhishekam?

Yes. Bronze is made for it. Read the Care & abhishekam guide to keep the patina as you would like it.

How do I check that a murti is genuine?

Scan the QR code on its base or on the buckle. It opens the murti’s own page, which shows the custodian’s name, its key dates and its certificates.

Can I cancel my request?

Until you pay, you can cancel at any time with a short reply to our email. After payment and before engraving, we refund you in full. Once the engraving is made, the order cannot be cancelled: it is permanent. See our Terms of sale.

Can I return a murti?

Once the engraving is made, we take the murti back only if it is damaged in transit or lost on the way to you. In that case it is always replaced or refunded. See Shipping & returns.
